Real time volt & var controls in distribution networks considering distributed generation by imperialist competitive algorithm and fuzzy theory

Abstract
In this paper, a real time method is introduced for distribution networks reactive power control in order to co-ordinate all equipments contributing to improved voltage profile and reduced losses and costs. Imperialist Competitive Algorithm (ICA) is also employed for optimization purposes. The proposed method was implemented on a part of Tehran distribution network, which confirmed its effectiveness.
