Abstract:  
The factor that can have a significant effect on the amount of solar energy received by the buildings is the material used in the external views and lightnings. The general objective of this research is to consider the existing climate conditions (of Mashhad) in selecting and applying materials. Furthermore, it focuses on the dimensions of the openings relative to the facade while taking into account the energy consumption criteria to achieve an optimal pattern in designing through using the modeling of a Building Sample Residential Interiors from the Design Builder software. The method of research in the present study is a composite one. In the first stage, the sections of walls with different materials such as clay block, leka, and AAC and the intervals of 10-50% of the facade are introduced into the software and analyzed. In the next step, all modes in the sunblind through a parametric optimization, were simultaneously investigated. Finally, the AAC block with extruded thermal insulation of extruded polystyrene, as the optimal materials in this climate, and the proposed range for Exposure are rated at 25-30%. In order to minimize not only light access but also the energy loss of buildings.
